His next endeavor brought Jay back to his home town, South Boston, and he appeared in the movie "Southie", starring Donnie Wahlberg.

In 1999, Jay paired up with close friend, Mark Wahlberg, and filmed "Three Kings", which also starred George Clooney and Ice Cube. In 2003, Jay continued his acting and began working on the film "Confidence", starring Dustin Hoffman, Tommy "Tiny" Lister, Paul Giamatti, and Edward Burns.

More acting opportunites surfaced in 2004 and Jay landed a role as "Larry" in "I Am Stamos". Jay is regularly seen on the HBO hit series "Entourage" and begins pre-production in Boston for the movie "Game Plan" in October, 2006 starring "The Rock".

His latest initiative is a directorial debut on the film, "Diamond in the Rough". This film is produced by Matt Muzio and Jay Giannone. The movie relates to a professional guy struggling with the day-to-day life in Hollywood, CA.
